Energy giant E.ON is bringing in Mumsnet co-founder Justine Roberts to advise on how it can win back consumers amid an atmosphere of growing resentment towards the energy sector. ()

Abercrombie & Kent, the luxury and adventure travel group, has appointed former Thomas Cook executive Katherine Gershon as group sales & marketing director, charged with opening up new markets. ()

Gareth Helm, Mars Petcare marketing director, has left his role after just over 12 months. ()

Nokia marketing stalwart Will Harris has left his role as head of marketing for South East Asia Pacific, following the relocation of the mobile phone company's headquarters in the region. ()

Barnaby Dawe, the marketing communications director at News International, is leaving the newspaper industry to become the chief marketing officer for book publisher HarperCollins. ()

British Airways has promoted Abigail Comber to the position of head of brands and marketing at the airline with immediate effect. ()

Angela Wilkinson, managing director of sales house Media Sales Network, is to join Bauer Radio as head of agency sales for its Manchester office in March, following her company's loss of the regional sales contract for Bauer's magazines. ()

MPG Media Contacts has promoted Amy Kean to the position of head of consumer innovation, as part of an ongoing restructure at the Havas agency. ()

News International has appointed Martin Corke, Catherine Frusher, Lee Gibson and Louise Crosby to new roles. ()

Amscreen, Lord Sugar's digital out-of-home media owner, has appointed CBS Outdoor's head of marketing Mike Hemmings as its international marketing director. ()

Guardian News & Media (GNM) has promoted its head of digital marketing, Steve Wing, to the new role of business director, Mobile, following an "incredible year" of growth in the area. ()

Carat has promoted Maria Donaldson to associate director. Within Matt Landeman's client team, Rebecca Stafford and Clare Fraser have been promoted to associate directors in recognition of their work on Kellogg's account. Paul McGee has also been promoted in the broadcast team, from graduate trainee to broadcast executive. ()

Facebook has appointed Channel 4 commercial controller Ed Couchman as a UK sales manager, replacing Jon Harvey, who will be leaving the company next month to pursue opportunities "outside of the media industry". ()

Jerry Yang, the co-founder of Yahoo and a key opponent to Microsoft's 2008 bid for the one-time internet darling, has resigned two weeks after the appointment of a new chief executive. ()

AMS, the independent media agency, has promoted managing director Paul Phelps to be its first chief executive and media director Duncan Collins to managing director, as part of a raft of appointments. ()

Independent media agency the7stars has appointed Rocket's Dino Myers-Lamptey as its first head of strategy. ()
