Sian Jarvis, the Department of Health's (DoH) director general of communications and architect of its Change4Life healthy living campaign, is to leave the department after 12 years' service. Jarvis will not be directly replaced when she departs in September. However, the DoH said it is seeking a director of communications. ()
Asda marketing director Jon Owen has quit after a year in the post to join clothing brand Very. Owen left the supermarket giant this week to become the director of www.very.co.uk, the online clothing brand owned by Shop Direct Group. He had been with Asda for five years. ()
Aviva is searching for a UK marketing director following the departure of Gary Price amid a shake-up of the insurer's marketing department. Price, who left the company last week, is not believed to have another job to go to. He was appointed to the role in December 2009, having joined Aviva in 2005 as director of customer experience for the UK's life business. ()

CBS Outdoor has parted ways with managing director Mike Moran and commercial director Mark Chippendale, and appointed commercial director Jason Cotterrell country director for the UK. Moran joined CBS Outdoor as managing director in February last year. Chippendale joined as commercial director in August 2010. ()
Nando's, the chicken restaurant chain, is to sponsor a new Saturday evening show on Global Radio's Xfm, presented by DJ and Beastie Boys member Mix Master Mike. ()

Centaur Media has confirmed a wide-ranging restructure of its publishing business that includes axing the print versions of two of its biggest titles, Design Week and New Media Age. Up to 60 jobs losses are expected. NMA publisher Andy Oakes was among the first to announce his departure via Twitter after six years at the company. The editor of Pitch, its adland focussed digital property, Sonoo Singh, has also left. ()
