Adam & Eve has hired Aidan McClure and Laurent Simon, the creative team behind the award-winning "polar bear" cinema ad for the climate change charity Plane Stupid. Bauer Media has appointed Joe Barnes, currently editor of Front magazine, as editor of its men's lifestyle magazine FHM. In January, previous FHM editor Colin Kennedy resigned and the magazine was looked after by consultant Grand Parade, run by Ed Needham, in the interim.
UM London has bolstered its creative strategy team by appointing Nick Leonard to the role of ideation director. Most recently, Leonard was a founding director of ZenithOptimedia’s creative solutions team, working on a range of clients, including British Airways, Zurich Insurance, O2 and Toyota.
SapientNitro has hired the former head of communications at Citigroup, Clive Tanqueray, and former Proximity executive Gary Shannon. Tanqueray has held the position of head of account management at AMV BBDO and ran the Nike account globally at Weiden+Kennedy.
EBay Advertising has hired Paul Nunn in the newly created role of strategic account director in the multinational sales team. EBay is continuing to grow internationally and is building a central European point of contact for clients.
Metro, the free morning newspaper, has made a number of changes to its management team under new managing director Linda Grant. Grant, previously commercial development director at Associated Newspapers, took the role in March from Steve Auckland, who was made managing director of Associated's sister regional newspapers company, Northcliffe Media.
Giles Ivey, the former digital sales director at BSkyB, has been appointed managing director of online advertising network Say Media, formerly VideoEgg. Ivey will take up the post at the end of the month and will be responsible for beefing up the company’s UK operation and expanding into Europe in the next 18 months.
Mindshare has appointed Chris Cardew and Caroline Dowsett as client directors to beef up its UK strategy team. Cardew and Dowsett will report to Alistair Green, head of strategy in Mindshare’s business planning department. They will provide senior support to a strategy team of 10.
Ad network Specific Media has appointed Fox Networks Group's Graeme Lynch as its new UK publisher services director. Lynch joins from Fox Networks Group where he was head of publisher services for four years. He helped grow the network through exclusive deals with key publishers and developed its video offering.

Debenhams chief executive Rob Templeman is retiring after eight years at the company and will be replaced by deputy chief executive Michael Sharp. Sharp, who has been at the retailer for three years, will take over in September. Templeman will remain at the business as a consultant for up to a year after his retirement.
Bart Becht is retiring from his role as chief executive of Reckitt Benckiser after 12 years and will be replaced by marketer Rakesh Kapoor, executive vice-president and global category manager.
Matalan is set to announce the appointment of former Asda executive Darren Blackhurst as its new chief executive, according to reports. Blackhurst was in the running for the top job at Asda, but lost out to current boss Andy Clarke, prompting his departure last year.
