Microsoft has appointed Chris Capossela as its new global marketing chief and put him in charge of its consumer channels business. Capossela, in the transition period, will work with Mich Mathews, who is due to retire as the senior vice-president of the computer giant's central marketing group this summer, and will report to chief operating officer Kevin Turner. Jonathan Lewis, head of digital media at Channel 5, is set to join Vevo, the online music offering backed by Universal, Sony and the Abu Dhabi Media Company in partnership with Google, as its first UK managing director. Lewis is expected to lead a staff of around 30 people at the UK office. ()
Digital Cinema Media (DCM), the cinema sales house, has appointed Davina Barker as sales controller, replacing Sufia Von Bismarck who moves to Channel Five this month. ()
