Ben Langdon, chief executive and founder of Digital Marketing Group (DMG), has resigned to "explore different ventures" and the company is looking for a new chief executive. Chief operating officer and finance director Keith Sadler will work closely with chief executive of DMG pillar, Charles Buddery, to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of the business. The Advertising Standards Authority has promoted Lynsay Taffe to director of communications, marketing and public affairs, replacing Esra Erkal-Paler who has taken a job at the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10) 

CHI & Partners has poached Leo Burnett's deputy executive creative director Jim Bolton to help boost its creative firepower. The move reunites Bolton with Jonathan Burley, who left Leo Burnett to become CHI’s executive creative director in April last year. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10) 

Burley has since raided his previous agency, Leo Burnett, to make three senior creative hirings. Among them, Burley has hired the Leo Burnett creative directors Monty Verdi and Tony Durston. Verdi, also its head of art, and Durston will both be creative directors at CHI. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10) 

Paul Bainsfair, the European head of Iris, is being lined up to take over as the next director-general of the IPA when Hamish Pringle steps down this summer. Bainsfair has more than three decades’ experience working in the advertising industry. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Marketing

 

Warburtons has appointed former Durex marketer Megan Harrison to its number-two marketing role. Harrison replaces Leslie Wallwork as marketing controller and will report to marketing director Richard Hayes. ()

Kellogg is on the hunt for a managing director after parting company with Greg Peterson, its UK managing director for the past five years. The departure comes as the cereal maker continues to struggle to boost UK sales. ()

Lastminute.com head of marketing Robert Moss is leaving the travel company for fashion website Mywardrobe.com. Moss takes up his new position of marketing director of Mywardrobe.com later this month. ()

Microsoft has appointed Chris Capossela as its new global marketing chief and put him in charge of its consumer channels business. Capossela, in the transition period, will work with Mich Mathews, who is due to retire as the senior vice-president of the computer giant's central marketing group this summer, and will report to chief operating officer Kevin Turner. ()

Media

 

Jonathan Lewis, head of digital media at Channel 5, is set to join Vevo, the online music offering backed by Universal, Sony and the Abu Dhabi Media Company in partnership with Google, as its first UK managing director. Lewis is expected to lead a staff of around 30 people at the UK office. ()

Digital Cinema Media (DCM), the cinema sales house, has appointed Davina Barker as sales controller, replacing Sufia Von Bismarck who moves to Channel Five this month. ()
