TradeDoubler acquires The SearchWorks for £56million

LONDON - European marketing agency TradeDoubler has acquired the UK's most successful search outfit The SearchWorks for £56million, making it one of the largest online marketing companies in Europe.

TradeDoubler acquired all shares in SearchWorks' parent company The IMW Group and its other its other trading entity, The TechnologyWorks. Both IMW Group companies have a presence in the UK, while The TechnologyWorks has an additional presence in mainland Europe and Asia.
IMW Group's clients have included brands such as Asda, Comet, EasyJet, First Choice, Interflora and The Carphone Warehouse. Last month the group announced an annual turnover of £67m and gross profits of £7.8m.  TradeDoubler said that it hoped the acquisition would help it expand its existing portfolio by adding search management technology to its affiliate marketing, online advertising campaigns, pay per call and online tracking and ad serving technology.

TradeDoubler chief executive William Cooper added that The TechnologyWork's Asian Foothold will also be use to assess the roll out of TradeDoubler's services in Asia.
