The channel, at youtube.com/topgear, will feature clips from the show, such as the race between a Bugatti Veyron and a light aircraft, and interviews with celebrity car enthusiasts, including Jamiroquai and Simon Cowell.
It is the first time BBC Worldwide has launched a dedicated section on YouTube for a single programme. It will complement their existing page, youtube.com/bbcworldwide, which has generated millions of views since its launch in March 2007.
Simon Danker, director, digital media at BBC Worldwide, said it is expanding BBC Worldwide’s portfolio of channels to reflect the online popularity of certain programme brands.
