Toms sells shoes and eyewear, and aims to help people in developing countries by matching every item purchased by giving a pair to a child in need.
The ‘give’ shop will launch tonight with a private view and live performance from acoustic guitarist Liz Lawrence. It will then be open to the public this weekend (14-16 December).
The event will be divided into five areas. In the DIY craft zone, visitors can create homemade Christmas cards and visit the wrapping station. A lounge space created entirely out of recycled books will let guests sit, read, and exchange books.
In a retail area hosted by Jaguar Shoes Collective, guests can buy from the Toms Give Sight and Give Shoes ranges. Three local craftsmen with a similar ethos to Toms will also be selling their work.
A stage will showcase live music and hold creativity workshops so visitors can perfect arts like jigsaw and Christmas card making, while a photo booth will allow them to take pictures and share them with friends.
