TMN signs deal with Reward for offline loyalty programme

LONDON - TMN-owned online rewards programme MutualPoints has extended its offering to offline points collection, in a deal with loyalty programme company Reward.

The new scheme, which uses Reward's cardless loyalty technology, will allow MutualPoints members to earn points that they can convert to cash-back when they shop at Superdrug, CineWorld, Halfords and Burtons.

Reward's technology allows members just need to register their payment card details with MutualPoints to start earning points. The points will be added when they use their registered card to pay.

The tie-up will allow the retailers to access anonymous data on the shopping habits of MutualPoints 1.5m members.

Gavin Dein, chief executive officer at Reward, said: "With the onset of the credit card crunch causing consumers everywhere to tighten their belts, rewarded shopping and loyalty programmes will continue to grow.

"Retailers now have to fight harder than ever to retain their customers let alone attract new ones, and Reward is a simple success-based programme that achieves both."
