He will report to Rhys Davies, executive director of TLRC. Alistair MacKenzie has relinquished his title of chief operating officer of the local stations division, but continues to serve as finance director of the local stations division.

In a statement to the London Stock Exchange, TLRC said that in addition to a base salary, if the local stations division achieves a minimum EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of £900,000 for the financial year ending 31 December 2009, excluding any contribution from JazzFM or First Radio Sales Limited, Bryant will be entitled to receive either a cash bonus of £200,000 or shares equal to 2.5% of the then issued share capital of the company.

The company said: We are delighted to have Jason Bryant on board. His experience in commercial radio makes him uniquely placed to assist us in turning around the group in a difficult economic environment.

Bryant is also a director and sole shareholder of Town and Country Broadcasting and is a member of the public affairs committee of the RadioCentre.
