Times gives Waitrose shoppers 10,000 copies via Ocado

LONDON - The Times is to combat declining circulation by giving away copies to customers of Waitrose delivery service Ocado.

The tie-up means that the newspaper will be distributed to about 10,000 extra households daily, significantly bolstering the News International title's circulation and sampling reach.

Ocado, which makes an average of 65,000 deliveries every week, said that The Times was chosen because it is 'a favourite read' for Waitrose customers.

The partnership follows a 2.51% year-on-year circulation drop for The Times, to 638,033 in the past month.
