
Miki Mistrati, Time Inc UK’s director and executive producer, has been hired to lead the division alongside Lauren Abery, the development executive and series producer.
Mistrati and Abery have been tasked with overseeing the development of ideas, liaising with broadcasters, as well as the production and delivery of documentaries and features.
The publisher of Country Life and Marie Claire is hoping its in-house production arm will be an additional revenue stream for the company, with work beginning in the company’s "real-life" titles.
Recent efforts by the company to diversify income beyond print advertising include Marie Claire's move into ecommerce and retail by launching Fabled, a beauty brand. Also in July, the company acquired digital agency Collective UK to bolster its digital growth.
In September Time Inc announced a redundancy consultation had been launched amid a significant staff restructure.
