Tidalwave hires new creative director in agency restructure

LONDON - Tidalwave, the technology marketing agency, has hired award-winning advertising specialist Andy Ray to head up its creative division.

Ray has taken on the mantle of joint creative director, alongside incumbent Andrew Barnes Jones. His role is to supervise creative development for Tidalwave's key accounts including HP, Oracle, Panasonic and Vodafone.

Tidalwave is currently pitching for several high-profile accounts and the move comes as part of an overall restructure. A recruitment drive is also in progress as managing director Paul Cash looks to expand his team to meet demand.

Ray's last position was creative director at the now folded advertising agency, Mr Smith. Prior to that he was creative director at KLD, Ray Leach and Joshua, winning a Cannes Lions and 北京赛车pk10 Poster award along the way.

Ray said: "I love it at Tidalwave. There's a real buzz about the agency, we're pitching like mad and doing some very exciting stuff."

Cash added: "Andy's award-winning pedigree in consumer markets blended with our heritage in B2B technology adds a new dimension to our creative offering. Technology marketing is becoming more mainstream in its outlook as products mature at unprecedented rates."

As part of the Tidalwave expansion, Katie Wood has been promoted to client services director from group account director at the agency,w here she has worked for four years.

Cash said: "Katie has proven herself as somebody committed to the future of Tidalwave and has the knowledge, energy and skill set to really excel in this role."

In addition Julie Cox has been poached from integrated communications agency Gyro to replace Wood as group account director.

Cox worked on technology brands including Avaya and Cap Gemini as group account director at Gyro and will now be working on Vodafone, Nortel and Cannon for Tidalwave.
