Three more bidders enter battle for Bridge

Bridge Information Systems, the financial news service, has received three more bids for its assets from Reuters Group, Moneyline Network and Fin Info.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Bridge Information Systems, the financial news service, has received three more bids for its assets from Reuters Group, Moneyline Network and Fin Info.

The bidders join Sunguard Data Systems, which made an offer of $165m (£115m) for Bridge’s information business, which delivers data and news to customers’ desktops, and its internet services business eBridge.com

Fin Info, a distributor of Bridge news in France, is said to be pursuing Bridge Europe. Moneyline’s bid is said to be complement that of Sunguard, while Reuters’ is said to be chasing the same Bridge assets as Sunguard.

An auction is slated for April 16, with court approval scheduled for April 19.

Bridge Information Systems filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February, after it failed to secure new financing from creditors.
