Thorntons teams up with Universal for Coraline promo

LONDON - Thorntons and Universal Pictures have teamed up to create joint promotion for the DVD launch of Coraline and the chocolate brand's Halloween range of products.

The promotion, which was created by Redskin, and will encompass in-store marketing for Coraline as well as a series of giveaways like activity sheets and stickers in Thorntons.

Additionally the Coraline DVD will also be on sale in Thorntons stores and via its site.

Stuart Renshaw, Head of Brand at Thorntons explains: "This is the first time Thorntons has ever sold DVDs in store and we are really excited to be offering our customers something new, especially when Coraline is such a great film and ties in so well with the design for our Halloween range.

"Universal Pictures has also given us some fantastic activity sheets and stickers which our customers will love and we’re delighted to be able to offer them that little something extra in store."

In June Thorntons launched an on-pack campaign offering customers two free children's tickets to Woburn Safari Park with each purchase of its Moments chocolate box.
