Tetley launches £3m coupon and sampling campaign to push tea variants

LONDON - Tetley has launched a £3m sampling campaign as it sets itself a target of introducing over 7m new consumers to its range.

The drive will be around Tetley Redbush, Tetley Green Tea and Tetley Extra Strong. The products will be given out at UK events including Race for Life, the Ideal Home Show and Grand Designs.

Tetley will be handing out money-off coupons with the products. Additionally a competition to win a spa break for two or a year’s supply of green tea will be included in the green tea samples.

Tetley GB customer marketing manager Simon Attfield said: "The task is simple. We have to take Tetley to as many people as possible to encourage them to include a variety of our tea as part of their daily consumption.

"We’re trying to reach those people who would not ordinarily try these types of tea to show them that tea is so much more than their everyday cuppa."

Each pack carried "tea bag points" that customers could collect and redeem for a range of special offers and discounts on holidays and sports and leisure activities.
