The telecoms company has charged the AAR with overseeing a pitch. It began contacting a longlist of agencies this week.
The account is currently held by Draft London, which was awarded the business in 2003. Draft, which has declined to repitch for the account, picked up the business as part of a repositioning of Telewest Broadband's business division, aimed at targeting larger corporations.
The division has struggled, however, reporting a £5m drop in sales revenues during 2004. It blamed the slump on a decline in revenue from voice services in the business market.
Telewest Broadband's consumer direct marketing account, held by Rapier, is unaffected by the review.
