The new platform, that allows users to access content on the move, will be available on all major mobile phones. Its launch follows TMG's redesign of its website last month.

The service, which launches today (Monday) offers news, sport and travel and will be updated throughout the day. The revamp is part of TMG's wider strategy of offering consumers content via numerous platforms.

The service is powered by TMG's new digital publishing and content management system, Escenic, which aims to make the Telegraph website sites more user friendly.

Paul Cheesbrough, chief information officer of TMG, said "The launch of our mobile offering demonstrates TMG's continued commitment to becoming a truly multimedia, multi- platform news service.

"Building on the success of the recent redesign of Telegraph.co.uk, this latest development reflects TMG's dedication to bringing up-to-the-minute content to the consumer, whenever and wherever they demand it."
