Motoring website and magazine Auto Trader will power a search engine for new and used cars and bikes on the Telegraph site. It is one of a number of new initiatives being introduced to the Motoring channel as the Telegraph continues with its redesign of TCUK.
In July, the Telegraph.co.uk home page, news, sport and travel channels were redesigned, followed by the new finance channel in September.
Telegraph Motoring was developed in-house using Escenic, TMG's new digital publishing and content management system, which offers easier navigation, improved accessibility and allows for contextually relevant data to be embedded in articles and throughout the channel.
Nigel Leigh, TMG's manager of digital classified, said: "We're delighted to be working with Auto Trader. This is a fantastic partnership that will enable the Telegraph consumer to access our new one-stop shop for the best motoring deals in the UK."
Telegraph Motoring provides users with the latest news, including car reviews and in-depth features. Motoring advice expert Honest John offers guidance on the buying, selling and day-to-day running of cars. In addition, as readers face the credit crunch, Mr Money will be on hand to offer help with the financial aspects of motoring.
Columns include Top Gear's James May and F1 writer Simon Arron. Suzi Perry will also write a weekly feature about MotoGP while Telegraph's motoring expert Erin Baker will write a blog.
The site will also continue to host Telegraph TV's motoring programme, 'The Wheel Deal', which test drives and reviews the latest cars and motorcycles.
Telegraph Motoring is also available on the site's free-to-access mobile portal, which launched in early August.
Peter Hall, Motoring Editor, TMG, said: "Our recent coverage of the Paris Motor Show saw the most successful day to date on the motoring channel with nearly one million page views.
"Our fantastic team of journalists reviewed all the major product announcements from leading manufacturers, with articles and picture galleries, even before the close of press day. This clearly demonstrates the Telegraph's commitment to up-to-the-minute motoring journalism and to providing high-quality content."
Auto Trader is owned by Trader Media Group which is jointly owned by Guardian Media Group and Apax Partners, with GMG as the majority shareholder.
