Telegraph first to launch Android application

LONDON - The Telegraph Media Group has become the first UK publisher to launch an application for Google's Android mobile phone operating system.

Coinciding with the launch of the first Android phone in the US, the application is free and allows users to access the latest general, finance, sport, travel and motoring news from .

T-Mobile is launching the first UK phone to use the open source operating system at the end of the month.
