The business, which operates the Team-events.co.uk website, has entered financial difficulty and the owners have decided to proceed with liquidation rather than administration. Suppliers have been informed.
"It is with great sadness that after 22 years of providing excellent service to our clients, Turf Tours Event and Activity Management is no longer able to provide that service to its customers," said founders Lucie and Paul Smith in a statement to Event magazine. "There is no intention to undertake a ‘phoenix’".
Suppliers had been concerned that the company might re-emerge under a different name following the creation in the past month of a firm called ‘Team Event Management’ featuring the same owners. The Smiths moved to allay those fears.
"We tried to undertake a restructuring using Team Event Management that we had hoped would allow for the continuance of the business, but unfortunately this was not viable so the difficult decision to cease trading in Turf Tours Event and Activity Management had to be taken, and there is now no intention to continue with Team Event Management," the statement added.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff for their magnificent efforts and commitment over the past 22 years, and we are very sorry to see the demise of the company."
Turf Tours Event and Activity Management employed 12 Staff.
