The appointment comes as Tate & Lyle marks the first anniversary of it becoming 100% Fairtrade, which coincides with Fairtrade Fortnight.

Maynard Malone is focusing on developing a digital strategy for the brand, redesigning the www.tasteandsmile.co.uk website and managing email marketing campaigns and CRM activity.

The new site, which offers recipe ideas, promotions and competitions to get consumers involved and take positive action to support the Fairtrade movement, will launch in the second half of the year.
