Target Media appoints McPherson as business development director

LONDON - Target Media, the specialist media agency, has appointed All Response Media founding partner Cathy McPherson as business development director, as part of the agency's planned expansion.

McPherson will report to Target Media's managing director Rob Wilkerson.

McPherson has worked at media agency Carat, where she was on the board and helped set up Carat Direct in London and Manchester. She has also been a board director at CIA Director, and was a founding partner for 10 years at All Response Media.

Target Media is expanding its business following the loss of its £9m media planning and buying business account for Momentum Pictures at the beginning of the year. However, the agency points out that in 2008, it managed media billings in excess of £60m, representing a doubling in size over the past three years.

Wilkerson said: "Cathy is an industry veteran and her presence in our senior team will greatly enhance our client service offering and boost our growth."

Target Media clients include Play.com, Apollo Cinemas and the UK Film Council.
