Swedish insurer hires DoubleClick for data management

NEW YORK - Folksam, one of Sweden's largest insurance companies, has appointed DoubleClick to carry out data and campaign management to improve the efficiency of its direct marketing.

Using DoubleClick's Ensemble and Smartpath tools, Folksam will be able to plan and manage its marketing activity across all marketing channels, as well as a powerful segmentation engine to optimise its DM and customer relationship marketing initiatives.

"DoubleClick combines best-of-breed planning, budgeting and workflow tools with robust customer segmentation in a single application that can operate across all of our channels," Lars Burman, executive vice-president of Folksam, said.

Folksam joins other financial services institutions including Prudential Insurance Company and Fleet National Bank that have used DoubleClick's data marketing solutions.

Folksam is the first company to use DoubleClick's Enterprise Marketing Solution, which combines the Ensemble and SmartPath tools to improve marketing effectiveness.

Folksam was founded in 1908 and has more than 60 offices throughout Sweden.
