Up to 150 delegates were given advice on more than 50 steps to make their events more sustainable from speakers such as LOCOG head of sustainability David Stubbs and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport's Pat Mandeville.
The final panel session of the summit focussed on BS8901, and highlighted the confusion that sometimes surrounds the standard. Agency Seventeen Events announced it will be publishing its compliance documentation to BS8901 online, to "demonstrate that BS8901 is not some kind of dark art".
