Susan Boyle helps ITV1 to 11.8m viewers

LONDON - 'Britain's Got Talent' pulled in 11.8m viewers on Sunday night as global sensation Susan Boyle secured a place in next weekend's grand final, according to unofficial overnight figures.

The 8.30pm-10pm show was seen by 49% of the overall TV audience. BBC One's 8.30pm-10pm offering 'Inspector George Gently' secured 4.6m and a 19.4% share.

ITV1 is expected to dominate this week's primetime viewing with another 'Britain's Got Talent' semi-final scheduled for tonight, the Champions League final tomorrow night and two more BGT semi-finals on Thursday and Friday.

Saturday night's 'Britain's Got Talent' show pulled in 11.3m viewers and a 49.7% share, with BBC One's 'Casualty' its closest rival with a 17.3% share and 4m viewers.
