Every product in the range costs just £1. Superdrug said range, which launches on 19 August, targets recession-hit customers who are taking a back-to-basics approach to beauty and skincare.
Products offer simple skincare formulations and come in basic packaging.
The range consists of lines including cleaners, eye make-up remover, face wash and moisturising cream. Products come in camomile or fragrance free formulations.
Joanna Hutton, Superdrug skin care buyer, said ‘Women are getting savvier in their skincare shopping. Using the correct skincare doesn't have to mean spending hundreds of pounds.
‘When women spend over £100 on a moisturiser, up to £20 of that price can be attributed to the fancy packaging, a celebrity advertising campaign and golden lids.'
