VideoJug, which describes itself as "the thinkingman's YouTube", markets itself as a video explaining everything from how to take care of exotic pets, to cooking tips, how to kiss passionately and apply mascara. It also has historic news clips and DIY tips.
The site was launched last month by CEO Dan Thompson, who was formerly behind the long defunct dotcom firm 365 Corporation.
Like YouTube, VideoJug could prove a major traffic driver for The Sun , attracting people of all ages and across a broad range of interests.
The website currently features 1,000 how to clips, which can be downloaded to MP3 players, mobile phones and computers, and it expects to undergo significant growth as its profile increases.
Pete Picton, editor of The Sun Online, said: "VideoJug offers content that is of interest for everyone and we know that our audience is going to look forward to regular instalments of VideoJug's films."
The Sun Online, which claims 9.2m unique monthly users, unveiled a major redesign last month, featuring a 24-hour updated video news and entertainment service, improved usability and the return of Deirdre's video casebook.
The title has also launched MySun, a user-generated content where Sun readers can publish their reviews, thoughts and images, and create their own blog.
Thompson said: "The Sun Online is a perfect place for VideoJug to be, and we're confident that this partnership will be a success for both parties."
