Around 250 delegates are expected to attend the event, which will incorporate keynote speeches, topical discussions, and a variety of workshops covering key event industry issues.
"We look forward to welcoming Summer Eventia in July, which will provide a real opportunity for visiting delegates as well as our local Scottish business community," said councillor Steven Purcell, leader of Glasgow City Council and chair of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau.
"The timing of the conference could not be more appropriate with both Glasgow - and Scotland - embarking on major infrastructure and business developments in preparation for the 2014 Commonwealth Games."
Last year's event was held at The Holiday Inn in Brighton.
