From 11am to 4pm the two cabs and a bellboy descended on the tourist destination to provide passers-by with a taste of Subway's new beef pastrami melt sub sandwich.

People were also able to hop into the cabs, which offered a virtual reality (VR) experience. Those who donned the VR headsets were treated to a 360-degree tour around the US city that inspired the new sub.

Subway promoted the stunt via the hashtags #‎BeMoreNY and #‎StayPicky.
