STV revamps logo for second time in three years

LONDON - Scottish TV channel STV has overhauled its on-screen logo and is introducing new branding across across the channel, programmes and websites.

The channel has also created six idents featuring people and places from the region.

The work, which was created by Bruce Dunlop Associates, will run from March 23.

This is the channel's second new logo and idents in the past three years. The use of the blue in Scotland’s flag in the previous branding will be incorporated into the latest work.

STV News programmes 'Scotland Today' and 'North Tonight' have been revamped and renamed as 'STV News at Six'.

The channel said it plans to opt out of ITV network programming more regularly as part of its aim to create more Scottish-produced programmes.
