Strongbow refreshes packaging

Strongbow, the Scottish & Newcastle-owned cider brand, has refreshed its packaging to give the product better stand-out. The black and gold colours and Strongbow archer will remain, but the cans will feature greater emphasis on the premium aspects of the brand.

McBride, a household-goods manufacturer, has bought cleaning brands LimeLite and Frish from ThreeSixty Brands. Frish is a toilet rim cleaner, while LimeLite combats limescale build-up in kitchens and bathrooms. McBride wants to extend the brands into other categories.

Cheestrings is widening its range with the introduction of Cheestrings Shots to target the children's snack market. The sachets of small cheese pieces will be sold in packs of six. Earlier this year, the brand, which is owned by Kerry Foods, overhauled its packaging.

LSN, an employee training company, is rolling out a fresh brand identity. The firm hired consultancy UffindellWest to create a positioning based on the strapline 'Making learning work - from classroom to board-room'.

Aspall, the cider brand, is extending its tie-up with Australian brewer Little World Beverages to distribute the latter's Little Creatures premium alcoholic drinks in the UK. The range is sold in 330ml bottles and includes Pale Ale, Bright Ale and Pilsner variants.
