Strongbow brings nature into cities in global campaign

Heineken-owned cider brand Strongbow has launched a global campaign on the theme of nature reclaiming its place in human environments.

‘Nature Remix’ kicks off with an TV spot, launched today, which sees local gardeners planting an orchard in a derelict part of central Johannesburg, South Africa - and building a giant tree sculpture, the branches of which grow through the windows of an abandoned tower block.

The campaign, which runs in 20 markets (though not the UK), will continue with coordinated ‘acts’ in Toronto, Bucharest, Bratislava, Prague, Lisbon and Vietnam.

"The zeitgeist among millennials is to try to make the world a better place to live, through a series of small actions that add up to more than the sum of their parts," said Jiri Rakosnik, global marketing manager for cider at Heineken.

"The new campaign takes this insight and invites consumers to bring nature back into their city in a creative and enjoyable way."
