Running on outdoor sites and in print, Faces of Heineken features 32 members of Heineken UK’s 2000 staff.
The stars of the campaign include brand managers, accountants, brewery operatives and engineers, and are based at sites in Edinburgh, London, Hereford, Manchester and Tadcaster.
Faces of Heineken tells our story through the eyes of our colleagues
Globally, Heineken’s biggest property is its eponymous lager, founded in Amsterdam in 1864, growing its profile through sponsorship deals with the UEFA Champions League, the Rugby World Cup, and James Bond films Skyfall and Spectre.
In the UK, however, Heineken’s biggest selling beer brands are Foster’s and Kronenbourg. It also makes ciders Strongbow and Bulmer’s, owns hundreds of acres of orchards that supply fruit for the production of these, and operates 1250 pubs - all facts it said were not widely known by the public.
"We are well known for our great creative campaigns on our beers and ciders, and saw an opportunity to apply this kind of treatment to our recruitment," said the company’s HR director Jane Brydon.
"Faces of Heineken tells our story through the eyes of our colleagues. Building on an already successful internal communication campaign, we’ll be using external media, PR and targeted digital advertising to share our story."
Heineken UK’s other brands include the UK’s best-selling traditional ale John Smith’s, and tequila flavoured beer Desperados.
