The new publishing house was founded by Darren Styles in December, when he acquired the Brooklands Group customer publishing division after it went into administration.

Stream Publishing will work on magazines both on and offline. The team of 10 full and part time staff, which includes a number of employees from the Brooklands Group, OK, Virgin Atlantic and Carlos magazine, will work across four print titles and two digital programmes.

Managing director Styles said after a six-month "rollercoaster" ride following the demise of Brooklands Group after 17 years in business, Stream Publishing will demonstrate reports the "impending death of the printed magazine format have been exaggerated".

Brooklands Group, the publisher of A Place In The Sun and magazines for Renault and Chrysler, went into administration on 23 December, with 16 redundancies.

The company employed 29 people, but 13 staff moved to APITS, a new company set up by Freeform Productions, the co-owners of the A Place In The Sun brand, and the former Brooklands publishing and finance director.
