StrawberryFrog takes global brief for Onitsuka Tiger

LONDON - StrawberryFrog has been appointed lead global agency for Quentin Tarantino's favoured shoe brand, the Onitsuka Tiger trainer, which featured in the director's film 'Kill Bill: Part 1'.

The agency has held the pan-European brief for the brand since 2002 and has created cinema, direct and online campaigns during this time.

The global brief includes developing a worldwide brand strategy, creating new brand guidelines, developing the brand's retail proposition; and evolving the Onitsuka Tiger global website portal

The Amsterdam- and New York-based shop will develop its "Made of Japan" strategy into a series of global campaigns that tie in with the launch of new ranges each season.

Strawberry Frog will unveil campaigns to support a new spring and summer range of footwear in the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia and Italy during early 2007.

StrawberryFrog Amsterdam will develop new global work under creative director Mark Chalmers.

Brian Elliott, co-founder and chief executive of StrawberryFrog, said: "The global appointment is testimony to the success of our European campaigns and the creation of a cult brand movement for Onitsuka Tiger."
