Steak Media raids agencies for staff

Digital media agency Steak Media has boosted its staff numbers by a third after bringing in new hires from media agencies including Carat and MindShare.

James Collis, formerly of Carat, has joined the agency as pay-per-click account director, while Katherine Chen has joined from the same agency as senior digital account manager.

Naomi Ducat has joined from MindShare as senior account executive.

Last year the agency, which was founded by Oliver Bishop and is chaired by his brother, eSpotting founder Seb Bishop, moved into digital media planning and buying, as well as continuing with its core service of paid search and search engine optimisation.

The company has also hired an SEO account director in Neil Stickells, who has joined Steak Media from Tesco.

Chief executive Oliver Bishop said he was gathering a team that could work across the full digital offering.

"Marketing activities should be looked at from a holistic perspective, to be able to leverage opportunities offered by each particular medium," Bishop said.
