Stardoll, which was founded just three years ago, hopes that the combined sites will offer more value to advertisers wanting to reach its target audience which is made up primarily of teenage girls.

The site generates revenue through advertising and from selling customers virtual clothes to dress their dolls. Customers can choose from a number of celebrities, including singers, models as well as personalised ‘Me Dolls'.

To date, over 27m customers have created a ‘Me Doll'.

The newly created network also includes Paperdollheaven.com which was launched in December 2008 and targets a younger audience.
