Starcom MediaVest wins £10m BT Global Services media

LONDON - BT Global Services has handed its £10m media planning and buying account to Starcom MediaVest.

Starcom MediaVest won the business, previously held by Media Planning Group, after a pitch against ZenithOptimedia.

BT Global Services markets BT products to businesses abroad, and the agency will handle media planning and buying, primarily in the press, internationally.

The win is a further inroad into BT's business for the Starcom Motive and MediaVest UK partnership. The two joined forces at the end of last year to swipe BT's £23m press implementational planning and buying account from Zenith Media, which had handled the business since 1998.

Zenith continues to handle radio for the telecoms giant, with The Allmond Partnership in charge of television, the Outdoor Connection handling outdoor and PHD charged with overall media strategy.
