Starcom MediaVest Group invests in analytics with new hire

Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) has appointed former PHD Media director Thaer Namruti to the new role of group director of data and analytics.

Namruti will lead the group's data and analytics hub in the UK, and deliver strategies and analytics leadership for SMG clients at both a local and regional level.

The analysts are responsible for projects across both offline and digital media, econometric and investment planning analysis, database, CRM, and digital analytics. 

He will report to Andy Fisher, global director of data & analytics, and Jim Kite, strategic development director.

Namruti will be responsible for leading this team, exploiting the wealth of complex data that exists and ensuring analysis and tools that meet both Starcom's and MediaVest's client needs are selected.

He brings to the role almost 20 years of marketing and advertising experience, on both client and agency side.

The data specialist joins from PHD Media, where he was director of analytics, responsible for the development of the agency’s DataScience product across PHD’s client base.

He has also held senior data analytics positions at TBWA\GGT, Avon and Alliance & Leicester.
