The sporting moments list will include highlights such as England's 1966 football World Cup triumph, through to cyclist Chris Hoy's recent triple gold display at the Beijing Olympics.
To mark the anniversary of its 100th issue, Sport managing director Greg Miall and editor Simon Caney, sporting red Sport jackets, will join the weekly distributors to hand out the magazine to commuters this Friday (21 November).
Sport, which claims to have published its two largest issues in the past month, has introduced a number of recent innovations to the magazine, including what it claims is the first gatefold for any free magazine.
Caney said: "The readers really have developed the core content in this [anniversary] issue, so we thought it was fitting that we could give something back and deliver it to them."
Sport, which has a distribution of more than 313,000, is given out to London's commuters at tube stations, gyms and health clubs in the South East, and to British Airways and BMI business class passengers.
