The Spirit of Christmas activation, devised for the switch-on of this year's Regent Street's Christmas lights, will take place on 17 November.

Designed by James Glancy Design, the display has been created to mirror a theatrical experience and pays homage to the rich heritage and glamour of Regent Street, the first central London street to introduce festive lighting and decoration back in 1954.

From 4pm, Regent Street will be pedestrianised from Beak St down to Piccadilly, to allow shoppers the chance to take in some Christmas shopping ahead of the evening’s festivities. The switch-on event, hosted by The Crown Estate with Heart radio, will feature Heart presenters including Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton from Heart Breakfast. The show kicks off at 6.00pm wiill feature an array of performances.

Toy store next week, while NFL held its annual takeover in October, transforming the street into a for American Football fans to explore.
