Magazine stand

Most read: Magazine ABCs

北京赛车pk10 and Media Week's Arif Durrani has , but here are the big winners:

  • Average circulations dropped 5.3%.
  • The best performing fully paid-for titles, in relative terms, were Mega (up 43% to 34,495) and CBeebies Magazine (up 25% to 69,466).
  • Haymarket's Forever Sports, published under contract for Sports Direct, has stabilised after 45% growth in the last audit to achieve a circulation of 90,539.
  • Tatler posted a 9.5% increase year on year, and an 8.7% lift in purchased copies period on period, to 84,383.
  • Private Eye's circulation saw a 5.0% rise year on year to 228,264, the best circulation for the fortnightly magazine in almost 30 years.
  • Radio Times is claiming the crown for being the UK’s "biggest-selling quality magazine", with a weekly print ABC of 712,927.
  • H Bauer’s TV listings title, TV Choice, remains the biggest-selling magazine in the UK with a circulation of 1.27 million.
  • In Style rose 2.0 per cent year on year.
  • Hearst's Good Housekeeping remains the leader of the women’s monthlies with a print circulation of 400,647, despite six-monthly falls of nearly 4%. Read more about .

Not included in the top 100 is the healthy state of the freemium market. ShortList's new ABC figure is 502,267, Stylist's was 403,200, Time Out had a stable distribution of 308,041 and Sport magazine reported 304,401. And the market is due to grow, with and .

It's an issue that needs some comment. Oh, look. 北京赛车pk10's Gurjit Degun asks Associate director of the publishing team at Carat, Mark Jones, cautions that and Square Up Media's founder .

Honda's new brand campaign features the voice of dead racing legend Ayrton Senna and a cameo from Jenson Button, the McLaren-Honda Formula 1 driver, 北京赛车pk10's James Swift reports.

The ad launches today online, on TV, in cinemas and on social channels across Europe.

Wieden & Kennedy London created the spot, which aims to celebrate a year in which Honda has returned to Formula 1 racing, made its first commercial flight and refreshed every model in its range of cars.

Inspiration: 3 creative uses of data

It's pull your socks up time. Ben Walmsley, regional VP for northern Europe at Sizmek, points out that the UK only won one award in the Cannes Lions Innovation Gold category and none in the Cannes Creative Data Gold category, "demonstrating that the UK still has some way to go in combining data with creative to drive successful, award winning advertising campaigns, and to keep up with the rest of the western world."

So, for inspiration's sake, Walmsley has picked three creative campaigns that build off data. We like the 'Melanoma Likes Me' campaign for Melanoma Patients Australia, which looks at social media posts to work out when someone's enjoying the sun, and then delivers responses via .

A massive buzzkill, sure, but it's got its heart in the right place, but as Walmsley points out, "This creative approach enables Melanoma Patients Australia to reach its target audience via their channel of choice at the very moment they are at most risk from sun damage, and opens up an immediate channel of engagement."

Emojis: French McDonald's ad replaces heads with emoticons

Marketing has supported a French ad for McDonald's, a cool acid trip type world where heads are replaced by emoji heads. Here's the ad:
