Sony works Getaway 2 story into magazines and radio

LONDON – Sony PlayStation has struck a £200,000 deal with Emap Advertising for the launch of the sequel to hit PlayStation2 game 'The Getaway'.

The deal covers display advertising, advertorial and broadcast campaigns created with Empire, FHM and Kiss FM.

Advertorials will run in January's Empire and FHM. The advertorial in Empire interview Team Soho, who produced the game, while the ad in FHM introduces the game's characters and the London underworld environment of the game.

Kiss FM will run a competition on Robin and Millie's daytime show, setting contestants the task of travelling around London landmarks to win £4,000 in used banknotes.

Mark Field, cross media group account director at Emap Advertising, said: "This activity across Emap's men's portfolio really gets under the skin of the story behind 'Getaway 2: Black Monday' and will drive real interaction and involvement."

The activity was planned in partnership with Manning Gottlieb OMD.
