The awards aim to recognise excellence in station advertising, marketing and promotion and can be entered by stations directly and/or by advertisers and their agencies.
The award for the 'Best use of branded content' recognises excellence in paid-for promotional or sponsored programming.
The 'Best single promo or commercial' assesses how well a commercial or trailer communicates its message and encapsulates the personality of the station.
The award for the 'Best promotional or advertising campaign' will go to a series or campaign of audio ads or station-branded promos and/or trailers.
Agencies who want to enter the awards themselves should include a supporting letter from a broadcaster, confirming that the activity actually went to air.

Sony Radio Awards introduce categories for advertising
LONDON - The Sony Radio Academy Awards has added three new advertising and branded content categories, giving radio advertisers and media and creative agencies a chance to win a 'Sony' for the first time.
