Soil Association Scotland is managing the event as part of its Growing Organic Roots project, which aims to support Scotland’s organic businesses and enhance consumer understanding of organic produce.

The pop-up will be located at Kibble Palace in Glasgow’s botanical gardens. It will host a myriad of stalls with wide-ranging organic produce, from meat and vegetables to hot chocolate and store cupboard items. All produce will be locally grown by Scottish farmers.

The pop-up forms part of the Soil Association Scotland’s Organic September campaign, which will run across the UK throughout September. Organic businesses have been invited to submit their own events and promotions to the Soil Association Scotland website.

Alison Muirhead, business development manager at the Soil Association, said: "The vendors are coming from all around Scotland, so I hope the market will give a good reflection of what Scotland’s organic producers have to offer.

"We felt that the pop-up was a modern approach that would capture the imagination of the public. Organic farmers are very modern in their techniques in many ways and we wanted to reflect that in how we approached the public with the event."
