Social Networking: Girl about town - Abigail - Parties with the beautiful people

If February is the month for romance, then March must be the month for music.

So, on a high after watching a private performance from Lenny Kravitz at Koko with my friends from Iris Experience, I thought it the perfect time to reflect on my musical journey of the past four weeks.

It all began with a pre-Brit Awards party at restaurant Mint Leaf, hosted by Jodie Harsh, where I sipped on Brit-themed cocktails and listened to sets from the resident DJ. Next night, I called in on caterer Red Snapper's fifth birthday at the Mall Galleries before heading off to charity NABS' Cuban-themed Big Bash event at Battersea Evolution, hosted by Rob Brydon. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Oi Brasil's Cuban Cabaret, The Cuban Brothers and headline act Madness.

A few days later I found myself at the opening of the Pacific Oriental restaurant on Threadneedle Street, before taking a cab to No.4 Hamilton Place for a showcase event. Canapes and cocktails came courtesy of Dish, while entertainment was supplied by jazz group Sistacated & Coolro and Spanish guitarist Panteleimon Michaeloudis.

The following evening, I joined my friends from Young Guns to celebrate the entertainment agency's third birthday in a Soho apartment. Later, keen to see some of my favourite bands, I attended the Shockwaves NME Awards at The O2, where I was a guest on Exposure's table before enjoying hospitality in the Inc Group's private box.

The launch of Incognito Artists' album at Soho Revue Bar a few days later gave me the chance to sing along to some of my more guilty pleasures, from musicals such as Grease and Chicago. Next day, I tucked into a delicious lunch at caterer Searcy's private house, 30 Pavilion Road, before making my way to Westminster Central Hall for The Charming Vietnam Gala, produced by Hype Party Planning.

Later that week, I popped along to the world's first carbon-neutral theatre, Arcola, in Hackney, for a Green Gala before heading off to The Grove for dinner and an overnight stay as a guest of Smyle.

Back at The O2, I checked out the corporate offerings at the new Tutankhamun exhibition, where I was treated to the Pharaohs Banquet and a tour. Finally, the month drawing to a close, I attended the first annual Amika showcase. Canapes and a cocktail reception came from Ravenous and entertainment was from Staar Productions.

I'm looking forward to next month already - who knows what it might bring.
