Visitor numbers were 11% down at the Carole Nash Motorcycle Live due to the recent adverse weather attractions.

A total of 98,580 people braved the snow to attend the MCI Exhibitions organised event at the NEC from 27 November to 5 December 2010.

"The weather did have an effect on the show as the media warned people not to travel unless necessary," said MCI Exhibitions managing director Finlay McAllan.

"More than 100 journalists who were pre-accredited didn’t turn up, which is unheard of. Although the weather did affect us, we ensured that we put on a good show for those that were there, and the atmosphere and result was fantastic."

Despite low visitor numbers, exhibitors and visitors were positive about the show. "This year’s event has possibly been the best we’ve seen in a number of years with a really fresh new feel and great buzz around the halls," said Honda UK general manager Steve Martindale.

"I went to Carole Nash Motorcycle Live with my daughter and a friend," said visitor Pete Newell. "The event was well laid out and well organised, so my thanks to the organisers, sponsors and to the manufacturers,"

The show featured 38 manufacturers and 200 exhibitors, and gave visitors the chance to get on two wheels.
