Smlye has been added to the cathedral’s list for a trial period during Games time, which could extend into the future.

Alana Buckley, corporate events manager at St Paul’s, said: "What we’ve agreed with Smyle is specific to the Games period. They are a completely new category of supplier for us, under the heading of creative production. The idea is that they will be creative and hands-on with events. We hope that this can become a lasting partnership, resulting in some exciting events being held at St Paul’s."

The cathedral has five event spaces and holds receptions, dinners, daytime conferences and private lunches. Its preferred supplier list includes Fisher Productions and Event Concept for lighting and Full Circle for entertainment.

Rob Rooke, head of business development for Smyle, said: "Smyle has been blessed through being able to produce events in some of the UK’s most historical venues and adding the world famous St Paul’s Cathedral as a partner is testament to the recognition our creative & technical teams have achieved over recent years."
