For the first time live football matches will be shown simultaneously on mobile and on TV, starting with the semi-finals of the Championship play-offs on Saturday May 6, in which Watford will play Crystal Palace, and Leeds will take on Preston.
In the first month, there will be 15 football matches and three Test matches, while cricket will continue through the summer until the final Test against Pakistan in September.
The service is being made available as part of the Sky Mobile TV service, which offers Vodafone Live! customers the chance to receive a wide range of mobile TV channels, including news, sport, entertainment, documentary and music channels.
Stephen Nuttall, Sky's director of business development, said: "This collaboration with Vodafone gives fans the flexibility and convenience of watching two major series -- a summer of international cricket and the intrigue and excitement of the Football League playoffs -- even when they can not get to a TV screen."
Coverage will be available at no extra charge as a bonus service for subscribers to Sky Mobile TV's News, Sports and Factual Pack for 3G customers only.
