The broadcaster is offering free music downloads to readers of IPC’s TV listings titles TV & Satellite Week, TVTimes, What's on TV, TV easy and Soaplife in an effort to boost awareness of Sky Songs, which launched late last year.
All of the titles will run the promotion in one issue each in consecutive weeks throughout February, offering readers the chance to download ten free songs from the Sky Songs music library, which contains over five million songs.
Sky Songs launched in October and offers unlimited online streaming and mp3 downloads of tracks from EMI, Sony, Universal and Warner for £6.49 a month.
Justin Moodie, general manager of Sky Songs said: "We are pleased to be offering a taste of Sky Songs to IPC's TV magazine readers. Sky has a long history of involvement with these TV related titles, ensuring a great fit in helping to spread the word about our recent move into music."
Rival Virgin Media’s online music platform MusicFish is due to launch this summer, supported by a cross-platform advertising campaign.
